Courses & Conferences

We regularly participate in industry conferences. In addition Mike Willis is also Managing Director of IMI Europe Ltd, the leading provider of conferences and courses on ink jet technology in Europe. IMI Europe is a sister company of IMI Inc., who run events in the USA.

Ink Jet Academy - Theory of Ink Jet Technology

In January 1998 Mike Willis and Dr Alan Hudd of Xennia Technology gave the first Ink Jet Academy course in Florida, USA. Within 10 years over 40 public and 10 private courses had been given, attended by around 1,800 from just about every company in the industry.

The thinking behind this course is simple - conferences are a great way to get the latest information on what's happening within the industry, but they don't give a balanced overview. The Ink Jet Academy course introduces all of the major ink jet technologies, printheads, ink types, materials for inks, design and system issues, media and print quality, and describes the new technology just appearing. It's a great way for anyone - sales, marketing, technical, managerial - to get up to speed with ink jet, and to understand the main issues of development.

Details of courses can be found on the IMI Europe or IMI Inc. web sites.
